Never Play Leapfrog with a Unicorn: The Quip-Find Puzzle Book of Advice is now available on Amazon. As of today, there are eight (8!) wonderful consumer reviews posted on the Amazon site. My sincere thanks to Megan James, who reviewed it in the newspaper, Seven Days, “Vermont’s Independent Voice” (and to her Seven Days colleagues, Tyler Machado and Cathy Resmer); and to Carol, Miche, Sarah, Lisa, George, Sam, and Colin for their thoughtful comments about the book. To see these reviews and/or to write your own consumer review, just go to http://www.amazon.com/Never-Play-Leapfrog-Unicorn-Quip-Find/dp/0615538983/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325367237&sr=1-2 . (Having the book reviewed is a key, we are told, to wider interest and sales – so we sincerely appreciate any and all reviews.)
Between mid-November and the end of the year, we sold about 200 copies of the book. A problem with getting enough books in a timely manner left us short of inventory at a critical time just before Christmas; if we had had enough books and if we had started marketing earlier, Jan and I feel that we could probably had at least twice the sales. Reception to the book seems to be largely favorable, and we are gratified by that.
Our marketing plans are now focused on our website. Jan has just set up this blog where fans of Quip-Find puzzles can comment and share ideas. Plans for the website include having a “Quip-Find Puzzle of the Week” and introducing the even-more-challenging Quip-Bild™ puzzles. We hope to have a means by which puzzle fans can share puzzles of their own devising as a challenge to others.
Please visit quipfind.com and let us know what kind of puzzles you would like to see in future puzzle books. Thanks for your interest!
